Junior Schools Festive Cake Challenge

Details for teachers:

The Festive Cake Challenege is designed to help children understand more about how food is sourced and how delicious recipes can be created using local ingredients.

It is a great opportunity for local children to get involved in team work and cooking. It also provides the chance for their recipe ideas to be shared with hundreds of visitors attending the East of England Showground.

The Schools Food Challenge has been developed by the East of England Agricultural Society to:

> Promote an understanding of the provenance of our food and develop culinary and nutritional awareness

> Highlight the benefits of British and locally sourced products
