HEAVY HORSES - The East of England Heavy Horse Committee is delighted to announce that some of the in hand and turnout classes historically held at the East of England Show will be moved to the Festival of Hunting. This will bring the heritage and majestry of the Heavy Horse to enhance both the new and existing classes. The timetable and schedule will be available soon.

 

TUESDAY 29TH JANUARY 2013

Work is now underway to update the schedules and entry forms for the 2013 Peterborough Royal Foxhound Show and the Festival of Hunting. These will be on the website as soon as possible.

NEW FOR 2013 are a variety of ridden horse and pony classes to complement the busy programme of Hound classes and also the ever popular Inter Hunt Team Relay. The schedule will be available shortly and will include HOYS qualifying classes in many sections, including:

• Ridden Hunters (weights)
• Ladies Hunters
• Small Hunters
• Working Hunters
• Show Hunter Ponies
• Working Hunter Ponies
• Coloured Horses and Ponies
  
  As well as the above classes, there will be classes for Novice and Amateur Ridden Hunters, In Hand Hunters, In Hand Competition Horses, In Hand Riding Horses, In Hand and Ridden Irish Draughts, plus Hacks, Cobs and Riding Horses. The Re-trained Race Horse Class will be one of the highlights of the Show - judged by Mrs Jenny Pitman and Mrs Jane Hubbard. Mrs Pitman will then have the difficult task of choosing the Supreme Ridden Hunter at the end of the day's judging.
  
  Sponsorship and Trade Stand application forms are now available for this very prestigious event. This event is an absolute must for all hound and hunting enthusiasts in the country.
