Red Tractor and BASIS add to East of England Conference
Andrew Blenkiron, vice-chairman of Red Tractor, is the latest speaker to be added to the line-up at the forthcoming East of England Farming Conference. BASIS has also announced that advisers and farmers attending the conference will be eligible to collect four BASIS points.
In under a month’s time farmers will get the opportunity to future proof and grow their businesses at this year’s East.

Organised by the East of England Agricultural Society, the 2017 conference, entitled ‘Grow or Go’, takes place on 2nd November at the East of England Showground, Peterborough. The conference speakers will discuss the future of British agriculture, highlight novel farming approaches, and present ideas to encourage resourcefulness in British farming.
Red Tractor’s Andrew Blenkiron will join an impressive speaker line-up, including: NFU deputy president, Minette Batters; Edward Darling of Redlist Revival; Jake Freestone of Overbury Farms; Alec Mercer of Packington Free Range; policy director of the Soil Association, Lord Melchett; Colm McKay of British Sugar; Emily Norton, Farmers Weekly’s Mixed Farmer of the Year 2017 finalist; Matt Sharp of The Rising Sun Farm; Charles Shropshire, managing director of Cambs Farms Growers Ltd, and Jack Stilwell of ‘Get Jack Farming’.
