Join in with the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch 2021

By 20th January 2021News

The Big Garden Birdwatch, organised by the RSPB, is the worlds largest garden wildlife survey and returns 29-31 January 2021.

With many of us working from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this is the perfect year to get involved and join in with thousands of people across the UK! The ongoing pandemic has shown that for many people, garden birds provide an important connection to nature and bring joy and comfort as well as being vital for our mental health and wellbeing.

All you need to do is spend one hour between 29 and 31 January counting the birds you see in your garden or from your balcony and then submit your results online at rspb.org.uk/birdwatch or by post.
Everyone can take part for free, whether you’re a novice birdwatcher or a seasoned pro. Simply sign up by clicking here to get involved.

Alternatively, if you are a teacher you can sign up to the Big Schools Birdwatch and you can find out more by clicking here.

Also for teachers and parents, we have a range of fantastic #LockdownLearning content created by our brilliant Kids Country team and you can find out more about their work by clicking here.
