We are delighted to have found a new venue for the Peterborough Dinner this year, following the closure of the East of England Showground to events.
The 2023 Peterborough Dinner will take place at Sissons Barn. A farm diversification project run by the Harris family, Sissons Barn is a purpose built barn that was built with the wedding market in mind, and will also be known to a number of local agricultural businesses who have used the space for courses and training days.
The core elements of the Peterborough Dinner remain the same in this new venue; A 4 course meal, with a rib of beef, carved at the table as a centre piece to the main course. Presentations of the Long Service Awards and Tony Whitsed Award, and of course the opportunity to socialise with friends and network with local people in the industry.
THE MENU
Starter,
Titchmarsh sourdough bread,
Homemade smoked whipped butter.
Game pate, spiced plum chutney, pea shoots.
Main,
Suffolk grass fed Hereford 4 bone rib of beef, served to the table,
Yorkshire puddings, gravy.
Bowls of Beef fat roast potatoes.
Local Seasonal vegetables.
Colemans English mustard and horseradish.
Dessert,
Polebrook Apple tart, vanilla bean ice cream.
Cheese and biscuits,
Selection of 3 cheeses from Rennet and Rind of Stamford. Artisan biscuits, grapes.
Accompanied by
Pots of tea and of coffee to each table
