Kids Country events programme update:

After successfully launching in 2012, Kids Country is starting a new era evolving their programme delivery away from the East of England Showground. A necessary, but exciting phase for one of the largest children’s educational programmes run by an agricultural society. Because  the site  closes to all outside and indoor events from 1st July 2023, with the land destined to be developed for both housing and leisure, providing a new gateway to Peterborough – Kids Country will be transitioning throughout 2023 into schools and farms .

Whilst we are busy locating a new headquarters for both Kids Country and the East of England Agricultural Society, we are delighted to be supporting many more schools with delivering directly in-school events. With over a decade of proven events on the Showground we are already successfully migrating much of this experience to tailor made sessions in school which are specific to each school’s needs and curriculum requirements.  With a new dedicated Kids Country van being purchased and added to our resources this year, it will mean it is even easier for us to come direct to schools across Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire to  reach even more primary school children with our field-to-fork events. We’re really excited!

Education and knowledge exchange remains at the heart of the East of England Agricultural Society’s future and Kids Country looks forward to sharing and involving you on that journey. As we change our proposal to more in-school events, please do get in touch to see how we can help bring education alive in your school. Whether that’s planting potatoes, fruit trees, looking at the science and nutrition of eggs, or bringing a tractor into the playground, there are so many ways we can help with a hands on practical lesson.
