The Society
The East of England Agricultural Society has a rich history dating back to 1797. The core goals of the Society are much the same now as they were at its inception, with the focus centered around promoting agriculture and rural life in the East of England.
The Society, who are a registered charity, are currently based at the East of England Showground in Peterborough and from here run a full programme of activities that cater to the areas urban and rural populations.
Our events programme ranges from livestock events to conferences, for more information about our events, take a look at our event page.
At the heart of the organisation is a membership which is open to all. This helps support the Society’s charitable objectives alongside the wider agricultural industry and rural way of life. In return, members are entitled to a number of benefits such as discounted event entry, volunteer opportunities and bursary applications.
