Meet the team that make up the East of England Agricultural Society.

Jeremy

Jeremy Staples

Chief Executive Officer

Jeremy joined the Society in June 2011 having spent many years as a Chartered Surveyor based in London. For the previous 9 years he had been the Managing Director of the National Shooting Centre at Bisley. Jeremy is responsible for both the Society and the commercial activities of SGS.

Amanda

Amanda Rodziewicz

PA to Chief Executive Officer

Amanda is responsible for administration within the CEO’s office which encompasses a wide range of roles. She joined the Society in 2011 after many years in PA/Office Manager positions at home and overseas. Before joining the Society Amanda worked in Australia for 6 years as an Office Coordinator for the Aboriginal Education Unit of a NSW Education Authority.

Amanda has now permanently returned to her rural roots and is re-connecting with agriculture. She especially enjoys working with ‘next generation’ programmes which she sees as vital for the future of British Agriculture.

Quentin

Quentin Arnold

Company Secretary and Finance Director

Quentin is the Finance Director for the East of England Agricultural Society and for Showground Services. Quentin produces accurate and timely financial information to both boards, as well as financial strategies to support the broader charitable aims of the Society. Quentin is a Chartered Management Accountant and a Chartered Engineer with a BSC(Hons) in Engineering and an MBA.
Val

Val Brooks

Accounts Supervisor

Val, as the accounts supervisor, has been looking after the accounts department since 2004 having come from a busy country estate office where she dealt with farming accounts and lettings. Val has also been assisting since 2008 with the administration of the Peterborough Royal Foxhound Show. She loves all things agricultural and enjoys helping with Kids Country events.

William Haire

Agricultural Business Development Manager

William is the Society Agricultural Business Development Manager. His main focus is developing the Society’s agriculture and membership programmes as well as managing a number of the Society’s key agricultural and membership events. Williams is a Nuffield Scholar and alumni of the Windsor Leadership Trust, giving him some unique skills to contribute to the development of the Society’s strategy for the future.

William comes with a practical agricultural background in Northern Ireland and joined the Society from the family farm in 2015.

Ruth Trolove

Agriculture Development Coordinator

Ruth joined the Society in April 2014 for work experience as part of her agriculture and land managment degree, and has stayed with the Society ever since. Ruth works across a number of society events, including the Winter Stock Festival, Shuttleworth Lecture and Farm Business Awards she is also the point of contact for Cultiv8.

While not at work Ruth can often be found playing hockey. When it comes to agriculture Ruth enjoys helping out on the family farm over harvest and is interested in added-value and diversification enterprises.

Kerry Buttriss

Agricultural Project & Marketing Manager

Having worked in a number of roles within the Agricultural Society and Showground Services since joining us in 2007 Kerry oversees a number of projects and marketing for the agricultural department and society as a whole.

With a passion for the industry, livestock and the countryside Kerry enjoys spending time with her family including pet peacock Jeff, and trying to keep fit!

Sandra

Sandra Lauridsen

Kids Country Education Manager & Marshal Papwoth Coordinator

Sandra’s passion and enthusiasm in her role as Education Manager is reflected in the success of the Society’s various education programmes, including the Kids Country events. Coordinating with schools to participate in our fun-packed education programme, Sandra is also responsible for overseeing the Society’s third world scholarship programme -Marshal Papworth Fund, liaising with overseas students and both MSc & Short course scholarship applications.

Amna Afzal

Education Officer

Amna works alongside Sandra, helping to ensure all Kids Country events at the East of England Showground run smoothly. Having previously worked in education, Amna knows the importance of hands-on learning and is very passionate about making education fun!

In her spare time she enjoys travelling, immersing herself in new cultures and trying new cuisines.
