Join us as we return to Shuttleworth for the next chapter in our ‘Shuttleworth Series’ on 24 June. It will be the Society’s first farm walk since 2019 and we look forward to exploring Peter Allen’s farm, a tenant farmer on the Shuttleworth Estate.
The walk sets to follow on from our ‘Carbon Conversation’ event at Shuttleworth College that took place in March 2022 as we further uncover the world of low-carbon agriculture and regenerative farming. We will be joined by guest speakers talking through different elements along the way including cover crops, woodland creation, ELMS and much more. These include:
Peter Allen (Host) – Tenant Farmer on the Shuttleworth Estate
Phil Jarvis – Chair of Albanwise Farming and Environment
Ian Gould – Director of Oakbank Game & Conservation
Jonny Ball – Woodland Creation Officer for the Forestry Commission
The walk will be followed by a locally sourced hog roast and time for some networking drinks.
