Schöffel Country sponsors Kids Country with Black Friday fundraising partnership
Kids Country, the education initiative managed by the East of England Agricultural Society, are delighted to announce a brand-new partnership with Schöffel Country, who are supporting the non-profit organisation with a donation of £5 from each sale to Kids Country, to help them continue to inspire future generations about British countryside, farming and the food that comes from it.
Kids Country education manager, Sandra Lauridsen, said: “We are so grateful to Schöffel Country for partnering us in this way. We currently educate up to 10,000 primary school children through a range of in-school and off-site events, ranging from our Breakfast Week to Grow Your Own Produce, as well as bespoke packages that we develop with schools to help them teach the curriculum in different ways.
“All of our events are hugely hands-on and experiential, and as we are a non-profit organisation, we are hugely lucky to have the support of amazing volunteers and educators. The support of Schöffel Country is going to help us hit the next level and reach even more children this year and going forwards, we can’t say thank you enough!”
Corry Taylor, Managing Director at Schöffel Country, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Kids Country. Through the tireless efforts of their volunteers, thousands of children in the East of England are benefitting from that same joy in the countryside that we cherish at Schöffel Country. As many of us know, those formative years of country and outdoor experiences as a child inspire you for life and Kids Country are enabling more children to have those experiences.”
Considering themselves guardians of the countryside, Schöffel Country likes to give back to organisations, such as Kids Country, that protect and conserve all that the British countryside has to offer, in our lifetime and for future generations. Corry continued: “We are delighted to support Kids Country, whose work reaches the Rutland heartland where we are based and beyond, providing enriching, inspiring experiences for children in the East of England.”
Schöffel Country joined Kids Country at their field-to-fork event, Breakfast Week, at Folksworth C of E Primary School last week. Charlie Coups and Paul Tomson said: “We were delighted to join the team at Kids Country for the start of Breakfast Week 2022. It was clear from the offset how passionate Sandra and her team are in helping to educate children about food, farming and the countryside. The children were excited to learn and engaged throughout the morning in a variety of hands-on tasks – it’s not every day you get the chance to see a tractor up close or do a taste test on rare breed vs supermarket sausages! I hope that over the next twelve months, Schöffel Country can help to shine a light on these countryside heroes and the incredible work they do in educating the next generation.”
