Heltwate School supported by Kids Country for ‘My Future’ event

Kids Country were delighted to support Heltwate School, Peterborough, with their ‘My Future’ event earlier this month, where students spent World Book Day exploring a range of interactive displays from different jobs, from farmer to fireman.

Kids Country supported the event with their friends from Lincolnshire Herbs Ltd and G & J Peck. Sian Ainsworth and Jordan Edwards helped the students explore the sensory world of herbs at Lincolnshire Herbs Ltd, whilst Simon Custance from G & J Peck kindly brought along a New Holland tractor for the students to explore.

Sam England, Assistant Headteacher at Heltwate School, a mixed, special education school, said: “Thank you for supporting our My Future event at Heltwate School last week. Simon, Sian and Jordan provided some fantastic experiences for our students.  Many staff have commented on how the day was a huge success and this is down to people like yourselves who go out of their way to support us in such events.”

Sandra Lauridsen, education manager for Kids Country, said: “In addition to our calendar of Kids Country events that we organise for schools to sign up to, we are also always happy to help schools create memorable, hands-on learning for their students at a bespoke level. We have worked with Heltwate School before, and they were winners of our Winter Warmer Soup Challenge a couple of years ago too. We would like to say a huge thank you to Lincolnshire Herbs Ltd and G & J Peck Ltd for supporting Kids Country and our schools in this way.
